“ Warendorf is our stopover when traveling between Hamburg and Cologne, part of our first time in Germany, and this restaurant made our visit truly special. The food was amazing, and the prices were very reasonable—definitely a great place for a meal. We had a lovely chat with the restaurant owner, asking about the town’s history and nearby sights. Their kindness didn’t stop there! Later that night, we ran into an issue at our hotel: it was locked after 7 PM (small-town), and we needed an access code to retrieve our keys from a lockbox. Without a phone to call the hotel, we were stuck. We returned to the restaurant for help, and the owner went above and beyond. Not only did he know the hotel owner (small-town connections!), but he also called to get the code for us. To ensure we got in safely, he even drove behind us to the hotel and waited until we were inside. This level of hospitality made our trip unforgettable. Highly recommend this place—not just for the excellent food, but for the genuine kindness of the people. ”
